你要寫信給撒狄教會的使者，說：那有神的七靈和七星的，說：我知道你的行為，按名你是活的，其實是死的。
And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

你要儆醒，堅固那剩下將要衰微（原文作死）的；因我見你的行為，在我神面前，沒有一樣是完全的。
Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God.

所以要回想你是怎樣領受、怎樣聽見的，又要遵守，並要悔改。若不儆醒，我必臨到你那裡，如同賊一樣。我幾時臨到，你也決不能知道。
Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.

然而在撒狄，你還有幾名是未曾污穢自己衣服的，他們要穿白衣與我同行，因為他們是配得過的。
Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy.

凡得勝的必這樣穿白衣，我也必不從生命冊上塗抹他的名；且要在我父面前，和我父眾使者面前，認他的名。
The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

聖靈向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽！
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

你要寫信給非拉鐵非教會的使者，說：那聖潔、真實、拿著大衛的鑰匙、開了就沒有人能關、關了就沒有人能開的，說：
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.

我知道你的行為，你略有一點力量，也曾遵守我的道，沒有棄絕我的名。看哪，我在你面前給你一個敞開的門，是無人能關的。
I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

那撒但一會的，自稱是猶太人，其實不是猶太人，乃是說謊話的，我要使他們來，在你腳前下拜，也使他們知道我是已經愛你了。
Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.

你既遵守我忍耐的道，我必在普天下人受試煉的時候，保守你免去你的試煉。
Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

我必快來，你要持守你所有的，免得人奪去你的冠冕。
I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.

得勝的，我要叫他在我神殿中作柱子，他也必不再從那裡出去。我又要將我神的名和我神城的名（這城就是從天上、從我神那裡降下來的新耶路撒冷），並我的新名，都寫在他上面。
The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.

你要寫信給老底嘉教會的使者，說：那為阿們的，為誠信真實見證的，在神創造萬物之上為元首的，說：
And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation.

我知道你的行為，你也不冷也不熱；我巴不得你或冷或熱。
I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!
16
你既如溫水，也不冷也不熱，所以我必從我口中把你吐出去。
So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
17
你說：我是富足，已經發了財，一樣都不缺；卻不知道你是那困苦、可憐、貧窮、瞎眼、赤身的。
For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
18
我勸你向我買火煉的金子，叫你富足；又買白衣穿上，叫你赤身的羞恥不露出來；又買眼藥擦你的眼睛，使你能看見。
I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.

凡我所疼愛的，我就責備管教他；所以你要發熱心，也要悔改。
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
20
看哪，我站在門外叩門，若有聽見我聲音就開門的，我要進到他那裡去，我與他，他與我一同坐席。
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
21
得勝的，我要賜他在我寶座上與我同坐，就如我得了勝，在我父的寶座上與他同坐一般。
The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

📖 啟示錄第 3 章背後的知識
啟示錄第 3 章是「七教會書信」的後三封：撒狄、非拉鐵非、老底嘉。加上第 2 章的四封（以弗所、士每拿、別迦摩、推雅推喇），七教會書信全部到齊。這七封書信是「基督對教會的提醒」，每一封都有「責備、稱讚、應許」三部分。

❌「老底嘉是貧窮的」 → 不是。老底嘉說「我是富足」，但神說「你是困苦、可憐、貧窮、瞎眼、赤身的」，代表「物質富足、靈裡貧窮」。
❌「不冷也不熱是中性」 → 不是。神說「我巴不得你或冷或熱」，代表「冷漠比反對更糟」，因為「冷漠」代表「不在乎」。
